Ignite! Community Theatre is holding auditions for the first show in our 2010-11 Booklight Readers Theatre season. To say Streetcar is a classic is an understatement. What actress hasnt dreamed of playing Blanche du Bois? A woman whose whole life has been undermined by her romantic illusions, Blanche arrives in New Orleans to take up residence with her sister Stella and her sisters earthy young husband Stanley (a dream role for the guys!). Life gets more complicated for all parties in the hot, sultry city and finally, faced with her own cruel reality, Blanche escapes into madness. Who: Director Ron Ford is looking for an ensemble of 6 men & 6 women to appear ages 30-50. Please be prepared to cold read from the script. When & Where: Thursday, August 5, 7:00 PM, at the Blue Door Theatre, 815 W. Garland Ave. Performances will be September 10 & 12.
